Among the most popular wax figures are Boris Becker, Muhammed Ali and David Beckham. Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson are popular musicians. Among the politicians in Madame Tussauds are Merkel, Obama, Putin and Tony Blair. Also all well-known Hollywood stars from Charlie Chaplin to Tom Cruise are exhibited in wax. Since the beginning of 2017 there is also Donald Trump as a wax figure. Selfies with celebrities are very popular among tourists.

What should I bear in mind when visiting?

How to get to Madame Tussauds: Getting there by subway is very easy. The underground station nearby is Baker Street. It is one of the largest underground stations in London. At Baker Street the following 5 underground lines meet: the Metropolitan Line, the Jubilee Line, the Hammersmith & City Line, the Circle Line and the Bakerloo Line.

Admission prices Madame Tussauds: It is a private museum and lives to a large extent from the admission price. Since the wax figures are expensive and the demand for tickets to Madame Tussauds is high, the entrance fee is also not quite cheap. You pay for the entrance at the beginning of 2020 at the cash desk about 35 pounds for adults and 30 pounds for children. This usually takes a very long time (hours) to get in the museum. Opening hours Madame Tussauds 2024 : The exhibition is open every day except 25.12. (Christmas). The opening hours are complicated and vary from day to day, depending on the day of the week and the season. As far as we know it is always open from 10 to 16 o’clock. On many days the Wax Museum in London opens at 8:30 or 9 am and closes later (5 pm or 6 pm).

Madame Tussauds London is a world famous wax museum in the heart of the city. With over 300 wax figures on display, the museum is one of London’s top tourist attractions and attracts millions of visitors from all over the world each year.

History: The museum was founded in the late 18th century by Marie Tussauds, a French wax expert. Tussauds began his career as a medical student who taught him the art of wax modeling.
